Almost the End Of March...

...and I've written only one post. :(

Not good and I really have no excuse. As you can see, I did redecorate though. I wanted something springy looking, not boring or depressing. I may change it again, we'll see.

Not much happening here. The weather has been really nice, that was until today, but we are getting some much needed rain. Since the temperature is right at the freezing mark right now, it's actually freezing on the trees. You can tell when you look at our little crab apple tree here in the front yard. The bad thing is that my lilac bushes have started to bud and are getting ready to bloom soon. I hope this doesn't hurt them.

Speaking of which, anyone know what might keep a lilac bush from blooming. One of my old fashioned ones by the walk coming from our driveway has quit blooming and the other hasn't bloomed at all yet and it's been several years since I planted them. I wish I knew why. I guess I'll have to look it up to see if I can find an answer.

All of us here have been battling bronchitis that David caught at work. He went to the doctor for his and was put on antibiotics. Dave and I haven't, but we're pretty much over it now. I do still have a slight cough, but it's not nearly as bad as it was. I do have a doctor's appointment next week for something else, so I'll ask the doctor about it then. It's not causing me to lose sleep and I very seldom cough during the day now, so I'm good.

I finally bought a DNA test for Max to see what breeds make up our little pesky pup. :) I have it ready to go out in the mail, I just have to put it in the box. I hope they take it, otherwise I'll have to wait to take it to the post office when I take David to work tomorrow. I can still kick myself for not doing one on Jake when I had the test sitting here, but there's no use in dwelling on it since there's nothing I can do about it now.

But I am curious about what kind of dogs make up Max. I'm pretty sure that he has Jack Russell in him and my sister thinks that he also has beagle, so we'll see. All I know is that he can be a little stinker at times but he can be a little sweetie too.

We bought Angel a new doggy bed last week and she loves it. It's bigger than the other one she had plus it's one of those orthopedic ones. This one she can stretch out on without hanging partially off of it. She can even roll over onto her back when she wants. We have it placed so that she can watch TV when she wants to, but she mainly snoozes out on it. Rolli has tried to get her off of it by growling at her, but she's having none of it, plus Rolli already has an orthopedic bed which was originally bought for Jake, but he never used it.

We got TV service through our fiber optics from our phone company. I can now watch the same channels that are available on cable and satellite. Unfortunately the Animal Planet isn't available on our package, so I still can't watch the Eukanuba Dog show. It's not until December, so maybe they'll add it before then.

Well, that's about it for this time. I hope everyone is doing great and having a great day.

Until next time...

In Like a Lion...?

Which is it; in like a lion, out like a lamb or in like a lamb, out like a lion?

Whatever the saying is, it is March 1st already. This year it just came in, no lion, no lamb, just March.

Next weekend we turn our clocks forward one hour. This was done to supposedly help the farmers in their planting, but right now with as cold as it's been and the ground being frozen, there's not much a farmer can do as far as planting. But I do have to admit, I like it anyway. I love the longer days.

I used to hate getting out of work on Sundays at 6:30 at the mall I worked at in Virginia Beach and it being dark already. I hated that. It was so much better stepping outside and seeing the sun shining. I don't work at that mall or anywhere else for that matter anymore, but I still like going outside at 6:30pm and seeing the light instead of the dark.

I just remembered earlier today that it's been 41 years today since I met the guy who three years later would later introduce me to Dave, well he gave Dave my address and told him that I like to either write letters or get them, I can't remember. He passed away a couple years ago, so sad.

As far as Dave and I go, the rest they say, is history. We just celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary this past Wednesday, February 25, so I guess you can say that things worked out. It snowed, which isn't the first time that's happened, so we didn't go anywhere and thankfully we didn't get as much snow as they first predicted. But we had a nice quiet evening at home and Dave cooked me dinner. :)
