Let's see, where do I begin?
First, as you know, I had my cataract surgery. Now, I have developed a shadow in my left eye that is blocking most of my vision in that eye. After an emergency trip to my eye doctor, I found out that I have a swollen optic nerve. I have an appointment on Monday at the clinic I had my pre-exam and surgery at to have them check it out. I wish I had been able to get an appointment for sooner, but unfortunately that's when they scheduled me for. It's also with a different doctor, so we'll see what he had to say. I've read up on the condition and it stated that it usually clears up with treatment in a few months, so let's hope it does.
One of the things they stated in the articles I've read about swollen optic nerves is that they can be caused by high blood pressure, so since mine has been running high, I finally did something about it and am now on medication for it. I also ordered a new blood pressure monitor that is very highly rated.
After being laid off for over a year, our youngest son has found a job. Needless to say, Dave and I are very happy for him.
We have a new Pope. Pope Francis died the day after Easter. The new Pope was elected this morning after only two days. He's also American born, the first one ever. The press was saying before that he was a long shot, but it just goes to show how much they knew.
It finally feels like Spring. For the longest while it has been chilly or downright cold. It's finally warm enough to go without a sweater or jacket. Needless to say, I'm pleased. I have had to sleep with a fleece throw on my side of the bed to stay warm. It's nice to finally not have to.
Well, that's about it for now. I'll let you all know how the appointment on Monday goes.
