Rest in Peace Angel

January ?, 2002 - July 25, 2018

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing of Angel, our 16 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix.

She came into our lives in April of 2002 as a scared puppy who had been wandering around the countryside for four days. She quickly became a much loved member of our family who is missed deeply. Heaven gained another four legged angel and our remaining two pups, Max and Molly, gained another guardian angel to watch over them.

We love you Angel and will never forget you.

I Confess

I went up on Facebook today, but I didn't read any of the postings. I looked at the notifications and thought, "I don't want to read these, they are why I left and I feel happier not reading them." So, I changed a few things in the settings, deactivated my account again and then left.

I have to admit, it felt good.

I found a couple of cute things for the yard and trailer on Zulily. It was good. All is good. 😎

I Quit FaceBook

Actually I didn't outright quit, but rather suspended my membership for awhile. I don't know how long. I may end up deleting the whole thing.I haven't decided.

I jusi got sick of all of the negativity and yes, I admit I'm not innocent in that matter. I also got really sick of the disinformation and downright lies. So I said to myself, "This is ridiculous, why am I reading this crap?"

I've also been dealing with depression again for awhile and someone calling me sad and selfish didn't help either. This is a person who hasn't seen me in over 40 years and only recently joined FaceBook within the last year or so, maybe a little longer. Yes, I tend to be selfish, but I am trying not to be. But that comment did hurt, more than she knew.

Anyway, if you're reading this and saw my announcement last night, you know the reason why. I'm not sure if I will be back, but for now I'm taking a much needed respite.

Happy First Birthday Molly!

I know I had posted pictures of Molly before but had closed the page, so if you don't remember. Molly is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi we got from a breeder last year. I would have liked to have adopted one, but it just wasn't to be, so I went the breeder route.

Anyway, this is Molly on her "gotcha day" at seven weeks old. She was a little cutie.

This is Molly today. She's in her favorite spot in the house, Dave's recliner.

She is still adorable. 💖

Happy New Year!

A day late.

It's cold! Yesterday we woke up to a record -20 degrees. It's not as cold today, 1 above 0, but still too cold to do anything outside. To say the least, I am getting cabin fever, a common occurrence this time of year. But if it weren't for having to drive David to work, I probably wouldn't go out at all. I don't like cold weather, but yet I love snow, except to drive in it.

Thankfully last year off-season, I was able to buy the pups warmer doggy coats. Molly and Angel aren't too fond of having to get them put on, Molly downright hates it, but once they get outside, I think they appreciate them. Molly doesn't like getting hers taken off either, but if I let her come to me, she's okay about it. She's a weird pup.

Anyway, I will try to do better about updating this thing this year. I know I said that last year and failed miserably. Anyway, I wish everyone a Very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous new year.
