Hello Summer!

And boy does it feel like it!

It is hot, around 90 (I know, it could be worse) and humid. There are spotty thunderstorms around, but so far, none have come this way, or they broke up before they got here. It makes me appreciate when we had the cooler weather some, but not the late snow. That was a bit much.

Now the days are going to start getting shorter, YUK! Hopefully though it'll be like last summer when I didn't really notice it until the sun started setting around 7:00. Hopefully also, we won't have many, preferably none, 100 degree days like we did last year. I think we broke the record for the number of days it was 100 or more. That and the drought really made it miserable.

Do you ever put ice cubes in your dog's water when it's hot? I just put some in the pups' water. I also had David put the two jugs we use to fill their bowl in the refrigerator. That way they'll have cool water to drink. We're also lucky in that it comes out of the tap pretty cool too, except in the winter, it's really, really cold then.

I also keep thermal drapes and liners up all year to better keep out the cold in the winter and to help keep it cooler in the summer. I'm also trying to keep myself hydrated, something I don't do too often because I hate the taste of plain water. I'm trying to change that too.
