Back From Another Adventure

Okay, not really an adventure, but a nice relaxing trip; for me anyway, Dave had a business meeting.

So, where did we go, we went to Indianapolis and stayed at my favorite hotel, the Homewood Suites at the Crossing. It's on 86th Street in case you might be interested.

I love that place. It looks like an apartment complex, but is a hotel. Dave said that it was indeed once an apartment complex, but I don't know how true that is. I think they built it to look that way to blend in with the area. But that is one reason I like staying there. Each suite is like a little apartment with a separate bedroom and some with a separate kitchen. We stayed in one of those the last time, it even had a fireplace. I liked that one the best, but the others are nice too.

What did we do in Indy, not much. We did go to the grocery store our first night there to get me something for breakfast and lunch the next day since Dave didn't know what time he would be back. We ate dinner at the hotel rather than going out to eat. It was free and pretty good. We did venture out to find a Radio Shack too, but that was it. After all the running around we did in Pittsburgh, it was nice  just being lazy.

I actually didn't really want to go anywhere, I was fine with just relaxing. Good thing too because when Dave got back from his meeting and after we ate dinner, he zonked out for a good couple of hours. He needed the rest after being up early and having to drive the day before and then having to drive back home yesterday. He won't let me drive, so I don't even ask anymore, even though I have driven to Pittsburgh and back three times before, one with a detour to Kentucky. I did have plenty to occupy my time, so it wasn't a boring drive.

Well, that was my adventure this week. It's now back to the same old routine, well except for today, I need to go and pick Dave up from work this afternoon because he had to take the rental car back. He got a free upgrade on Sunday when he went to pick it up. He had reserved a Ford Focus but got a Chevy Impala instead. What a nice car. I can't believe that I'm saying that about a Chevy, I'm a Ford girl, but it was. Dave said that he would actually consider buying one. It was a flex fuel too, so it got really good mileage. We were both impressed.

Okay, this is really the end of this post now, I promise. Oh wait, I forgot one more thing...just kidding. :)
