I forgot that the last frost is typically in the middle of May.
As far as I could tell, we didn't get frost overnight, but when I woke up this morning, the furnace was running. That is the first time it's come on since in April sometime. Here, Dave and I had been discussing when to turn it off for the season and luckily I hesitated, saying that we should wait awhile longer. Good thing I did. It must have gotten downright cold last night.
We're due for more rain tomorrow and then it's supposed to be nice and warm up again by the end of the week with Saturday being in the 70s and overnight lows in the upper 40s and by the end of the week, low 50s. The highs are supposed to be in the low to mid and upper 60s the rest of the week, so that's not too bad.
Oh well, this is spring in the upper Midwest. At least we didn't have snow on the ground on my birthday.
