Well, we got the trees planted yesterday that needed to be. I'm glad that's done. I also took out the irises where two of them went. That was a job in itself. Those things multiply worse than rabbits. I may transplant some of them elsewhere and mix them with other color ones, all of the ones I took out were yellow, but most I'll give away.
Patches is living up to her reputation as a good mouser. She caught another mouse this morning and left it where someone was bound to see it. Thankfully she left it in one piece this time, good girl! I hate cleaning them up when she doesn't.
David did a nice thing this morning. Usually I'm the one who goes and feeds the horses in the morning if Dave doesn't feed them before he leaves for the office. This morning he didn't and left a note asking that they be fed. David got out of bed a little before I did, so he went out to feed them for me, without my even having to ask. I'll feed them this afternoon since he did this morning.
It's cloudy today and a little cooler than it was yesterday, but still above average and still no rain. Apparently we have a better chance by the end of the week.
I'm not sure if there's mail delivery or not today due to Columbus Day, which is actually tomorrow. I was thinking not, but it looks like the stock market is open (and the price of gasoline and oil are up ☹), so I'm not too sure. The stock market is usually closed on federal holidays. Maybe it isn't on this one though. Looks like the price of gasoline at the pump will be right back up to where it was before sooner than we thought, thrills, NOT! And the "experts" predicted that it would go down a lot more, yeah right. That's why I don't listen to the so called "experts."
