I'm Lovin' It!

I have been as snug as a bug in a rug these past few nights. I have kept the one window in our room opened just a little and closed the liners to keep out the light a bit. Those are great if you don't want to close the curtains. With the comforter on the bed and having the down mattress topper, it's been so easy for me to snuggle under the covers and zonk out.

I love the cooler weather for sleeping. I sleep so much better on nights when the heater isn't kicking on and the window is opened a bit and a nice cool breeze is coming in.

This is also my favorite time of the year. I love fall, the fall colors on the trees, even though most have come to peak and lost their leaves, there are still a few that are just coming to peak now. Our maple trees in the back are doing that. These are silver maples and not the ones, I guess they're sugar maples that turn that bright orange-red. Silver maples turn a bright yellow that on a sunny morning with the morning sun just coming up and shining just right on them, are just gorgeous. I've tried taking pictures, but I just couldn't capture that beauty. Here's a picture that comes the closest so that you get an idea. I wish I had a picture of when the rest of the trees were at peak, but unfortunately a lot of the leaves were blown off the trees before then, thanks to the high winds we were having at the time.

 

Anyway, I am in the middle of doing laundry. I held off for a few days. I guess I can see what other trouble I can get myself into, so I will see you all later.
