But it's not as cold as it could get. Looks like we're out of the 70s for awhile and possibly even the 60s. Plus it's been windy. It's the wind that cuts right through you. It's not supposed to get out of the 50s all week with lows in the 30s. That's not the record though, we've already had snow by now in the past few years. Last year though I don't think it snowed here until December. I do remember that we did have a white Christmas.
I can't believe that it's the middle of October already. Some stores are also putting out their Christmas stuff and it's not Halloween yet, but they do that more often now. No wonder time seems to be speeding by.
Now one state has even moved their primary to December 6th. That's ridiculous and the candidates are saying that they'll boycott it because Iowa has been traditionally first and they have already moved theirs to January 3rd to keep that status. I'll be glad when the election is over, but moving your primary to the year before, that's just dragging it out more than it already is. Give us a break people!
Yea, it's raining, not a lot, but any little bit will help. I planted more bulbs last week, I hope it wasn't too late because we hadn't had a hard freeze yet, so I hope they come up in the spring. I planted different colored irises and really pretty double tulips in the round flower bed around the flagpole. I need to get a new spotlight to light it at night. I noticed last night that the one that's out there wasn't working. Dave said that it just might be the battery, so I'll check that first. I didn't know that solar lights had batteries. I guess they would need one. It's a cheap one from Harbor Freights that I paid only $10.00 for. It's lasted pretty well considering the weather it had to endure.
My computer is acting up again. I really am starting to dislike this thing. Oh well, it has given me about four or five years of no problems, so that's about normal for a laptop. Anyway, hope your day turns out great.
